by the government for the development of a recreational
park. Legal title to the said property was obtained on the

- Following the grant of legal title, BOT
had appointed a Management Committee (‘MC’) comprising 12
persons. The MC was tasked with the responsibility of
managing and overseeing the development of the rebuilding of
THH.
- The external design plans of the proposed
THH has been approved by the BOT and the Trustees.
- The development order in respect of the
change of the use of land from private dwelling to that of
an institution and for the propose construction of a two

levels was approved on 20/08/2007 by the Kuala Lumpur City

- The architects in respect of the proposed
building have been appointed and are in the midst of
preparing detailed building plans that will include internal
fittings and furnishing. In this respect the MC is expected
to ensure that appropriate input is obtained from all
relevant parties with a view to ensure that the facilities
incorporated in the building will provide for the needs of
hashes and in particular to ensure that the traditions and
heritage of the sport of hashing is preserved.
- As it is envisaged that the approximate
cost to rebuild THH is RM10 million, the construction of
which would be completed in two phases, and always subject
to the availability of funds.
- The ‘ground breaking ceremony’ at the
site is tentatively scheduled for the later part of 2008,
whilst the construction of THH is expected to commence in
2009.
- A task force comprising 5 persons has
been formed to undertake the various fund raising
initiatives and strategies.
- The fund raising launch/campaign is
scheduled to be held sometime in January 2008 at the site
following which a special launch shall be held at the world
Inter-Hash in
Perth in March
2008.
- Following the successful grant of the
said parcel of property to the Foundation there was a need
to re-visit the Memorandum & Articles of Association.
Substantial amendments were proposed and later approved by
the Registrar of Companies.
- The composition of the BOT and Trustees
to the Foundation has been such to reflect an international
representation.
- A separate bank account has been opened
with HSBC to manage and account for all receipts and
payments pertaining to fund raising, membership to the THH
and development costs.
- The website of the Foundation has gone
life and much needs to be done to post information on
various sites presently under construction.
- Much has been done since the
incorporation of the Foundation and much more needs to be
attended to. The BOT are vigorously committed to the
principles of accountability and transparency and will
ensure that all approvals from local agencies and government
bodies are secured prior to the construction of THH.
- It is the desire of the BOT to engage
the global fraternity of Hashers to participate in this
worthwhile endeavor with the view that we may together put
in place a legacy for generations who come after us to
continue to build upon it.
